How long before puppies can eat adult dry dog food?

Graham says:

When it comes to timings on when to switch your puppy from puppy food to adult food it really does depend on their breed. However, for me, a good rule of thumb has always been that all dogs will grow for their first year.

So if you’re considering changing their food during this time you need to check it’s suitable.

For example, our baked dog food is fine for puppies from 8 weeks up, but this isn’t always the case.

If you’re unsure, then I’d suggest you continue with your puppy food/diet until they’re growth has stopped, which will vary from dog to dog. So the best way to be sure is to check this with your vet at your dog’s regular check-ups, as they’ll know when roughly this should be for your breed and can judge if your dog is there yet.
